How much does Poshmark take?
Poshmark takes $2.95 on sales under $15.00 and 20% on sales of $15.00 or more, worked out on the order price (the final sale price after offers, without shipping or sales tax). Poshmark's fee policy says:
For sales under $15, the fee is a flat rate of $2.95. For sales $15 and above, the fee is 20% and you keep 80%.
Poshmark's October 2024 notice said $2.95 for sales of $15 and under; its current policy says 20% at $15 and above, which we follow.
Texas Seller Fee Tax
Sellers with a return address in Texas also pay a tax on 80% of the Poshmark fee, at their local rate. Poshmark says:
Poshmark is required to apply this additional tax to 80% of the seller fee on sales made by sellers with a return address in Texas. The tax rate imposed includes the 6.25% Texas state sales tax plus applicable local sales taxes
Poshmark shipping fees for sellers
The buyer pays a flat $6.49 for shipping, so a standard label costs you nothing. Poshmark says:
Poshmark provides a flat-rate shipping fee of $6.49, paid by the buyer, for all orders.
If you offer a shipping discount, it comes off your earnings. We take Poshmark's fee on the order price and then subtract your shipping discount; Poshmark does not spell out the order.
Packages over 5 lb need a label upgrade. Poshmark says:
Starting October 26, 2026, if you ship a package over 5 lbs without upgrading your label, the required upgrade cost will be deducted from your earnings. … Up to 5 lbs: Standard label, no additional cost 5.01–10 lbs: $5.00 upgrade 10.01–15 lbs: $10.00 upgrade … 15.01–25 lbs: $15.00 Over 25 lbs: Varies (full USPS shipping cost)
How we work this out
We use Poshmark's own rules and round each fee to the nearest cent. Where Poshmark leaves a question open, this is what we do:
- Poshmark fee (sales under $15): Poshmark's October 2024 notice said $2.95 for sales of $15 and under; its current policy says 20% at $15 and above, which we follow.
- Poshmark fee (sales $15 and over): Poshmark does not say how it rounds; your earnings may differ by 1 cent.
- Seller shipping discount: We take Poshmark's fee on the order price and then subtract your shipping discount; Poshmark does not spell out the order.
- Texas Seller Fee Tax: Poshmark does not say how it rounds this tax; your earnings may differ by 1 cent.
- Priority Mail packaging fee (not calculated): Poshmark deducts $5 if you ship in USPS Priority Mail packaging.
Payout and refunds
Poshmark says when your money is released:
After the buyer receives the item, we release the money to your Poshmark account within 3 days of delivery.
Instant Transfer costs $2.00 per transfer. Poshmark says: "A $2 transfer fee will be deducted from your total redemption amount for each transfer." Direct deposit has no fee mentioned. Source

You need to upgrade your label: $5.00 for 5.01 to 10 lb, $10.00 for 10.01 to 15 lb, $15.00 for 15.01 to 25 lb, and the full USPS shipping cost over 25 lb. From 26 Oct 2026, if you ship without upgrading, Poshmark deducts the upgrade from your earnings.
Do Texas sellers pay extra on Poshmark?
