Does Depop have seller fees?

There is no selling fee for sellers in the US. Depop's fee page says:

No Depop Selling fees will be charged to sellers based in the UK, US, or AUS.

Depop removed its old 10% selling fee for new US listings on 15 Jul 2024 (Depop newsroom). Depop removed its 10% selling fee for new US listings on 15 July 2024; it does not say whether older listings still pay it.

You still pay a payment processing fee on each sale, and a boosting fee on sales from boosted listings. The buyer pays a separate Marketplace fee.

The buyer's Marketplace fee

The buyer pays a Marketplace fee of up to 5% + $1.00 on the item price, not on shipping or tax. It does not change your payout. Depop only publishes the maximum (5% + $1). The buyer sees the exact fee at checkout. That is why this calculator shows what the buyer pays as a range.

Depop payment processing fee

Depop charges 3.3% + $0.45 on each sale, on the item price plus shipping and any sales tax. For a bundle it is charged once. On a full refund it is reversed.

US payment processing fee (Depop Payments) 3.3% + $0.45 … charged on the item sale price plus shipping costs and any applicable taxes.

Depop boosting fee

The boosting fee is 12% for listings created from 23 Mar 2026, on the item price (not tax), plus shipping when you arrange your own shipping. It is not charged on Depop shipping labels. Charged only if the buyer saw your boosted listing and bought within 28 days. On a full refund it is reversed.

Listings created before 23 March 2026 may still be charged the old 8% boosting fee; Depop does not say.

Shipping

If you ship it yourself, the shipping the buyer pays is yours, and you pay the carrier. That shipping counts toward the processing fee and, on boosted sales, the boosting fee. If you use a Depop shipping label, the buyer still pays the shipping and Depop takes the label price from your payout. Depop does not publish a US label price table, so enter the price Depop shows you.

How we work this out

We use Depop's own rules and round each fee to the nearest cent. Where Depop leaves a question open, this is what we do:

  • Payment processing fee (Depop Payments): Depop does not say how it rounds; your payout may differ by 1 cent.
  • Boosted Listings fee: Charged only if the buyer saw your boosted listing and bought within 28 days. Depop does not say how it rounds; your payout may differ by 1 cent.
  • Marketplace fee (paid by the buyer): Depop only publishes the maximum (5% + $1). The buyer sees the exact fee at checkout.
  • Old 10% selling fee (listings created before 15 July 2024) (not calculated): Depop removed its 10% selling fee for new US listings on 15 July 2024; it does not say whether older listings still pay it.
  • Boosted Listings fee, older listings (8%) (not calculated): Listings created before 23 March 2026 may still be charged the old 8% boosting fee; Depop does not say.
  • International cards: Depop lists no extra fee for international cards; a real receipt from an overseas sale would confirm it.
  • Partial refunds: Depop does not say whether fees are returned in proportion on a partial refund.

Payout and refunds

Depop says when US sellers get paid:

We'll send your payment to your Depop Balance, 2 business days after the item shows as delivered or 10 business days after the sale — whichever comes first. … They can take up to 5 days to show in your bank account after they're withdrawn.

Depop mentions no withdrawal fee. Source

On a full refund, Depop reverses its fees: you get the payment processing fee and any boosting fee back, and the buyer gets the Marketplace fee back.

Depop does not say whether fees are returned in proportion on a partial refund.
